When Cora Walker asked me to say a few words about Walker Funeral Home and the Staff I felt honored to be able to express to our community what wonderful and caring people work here and their kindness, knowledge, and helpfulness was way beyond what I expected. Walking into a funeral home, knowing you need to make the final arrangements for a love one is very hard, because you want everything to be perfect but you are not sure what perfect is or what to expect. Cora and her staff were like my angel’s that wrapped their arms around me and made me feel like everything was going to be okay.
As I explained what I wanted to do, they took my suggestions and improved on them so everything would be done correctly yet making me feel like it was all my ideas. There never was a time, when I would call and ask a question or had a concern that they were on top of my wishes and suggesting several options for me to choose from. This kindness and helpfulness continued from the first time we met though the whole services and many weeks thereafter. They would often call to see how I was doing and if I needed any other assistance or help.
To this day, if I call they know me, and their kind words and concerns make me feel like I have made forever friends and that they are there when I need them. To all of you who may need Walker Funeral Home in the future, take the time to meet them ahead of time, so you know what to expect and how you can handle the passing of a love one with the least stress and have the comfort that you have taken that extra step to make it easier on yourself.

I just cant say enough how Cora&Staff took very find job taking care of my Husband.. who recently passed away.During our balloon toss Cora said a beautiful poem brought tears to me and my heart,I will always remember Cora&her staff how friendly and beautiful people they are to help you and be there for you at your time of loss i would recommend WALKER FUNERAL HOME to anyone .

My son passed away will be coming up on the 2 year mark March 5, when he died he had no insurance and I was beyond losing it as he took his own life, we went to a funeral home before we went to Walkers, and I was upset coz of their lack of caring they just wanted to get to the money and how I had to have almost 8000 for his service, a family member told me to go see Cora, that was the BEST THING I COULD DO FOR MY SON, from the minute myself and the family got there, Cora and her staff was TRULY AMAZING!! It’s hard enough for a mother to have their child die, but she made his service perfect!! Anything we ask for, she made sure it could be taken care of, and the cost well she could have charged more it was beautiful, and she arraigned for me to go to the cremation with my son, and stood right by me the intire time, never rush me, through this process we was made to feel like family, and it didn’t stop after the funeral she still checked up on me, this wonderful lady and all of the staff at Walkers Funeral Home make this as easy on us as they could, I have much love for everyone of them... Cora you are a God sent, I so glad your the one that cared for my Tony, thank you!!

C.A. Walker Funeral Home provided my family and I the support we needed after the death of my husband. From ensuring the arrangements were to our specifications, to their genuine sincerity and compassion, we felt throughout the entire difficult time, the team at C.A Walker Funeral Home were professional and displayed empathy for everyone that attended the service. They also provided excellent services with the legal arrangements i.e. death certificate, post the service and reminded us of every step we needed to take to ensure we did not have any missteps.
